2021 ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe

World Championships, Denmark

September 16-19, 2021

ICF Canoe Sprint in Copenhagen

ICF Canoe Sprint is an Olympic discipline. It is an adrenaline-fueled discipline with distances of 200m, 500m, 1000m and 5000m. The races take place in single boats, double boats or four-boats (in kayaks and canoes, respectively).

Denmark has won medals at the World Cup for the past many decades. Denmark has also already qualified for this summer’s Olympics women’s disciplines K-1 200m and 500m and K-4 500m.

On 16 – 19 September 2021 international canoe sprint comes back to where it all started in 1924: Copenhagen, where the Olympic athletes are fighting for World Cup gold on Bagsværd Lake. Meanwhile, the forest around the lake will be transformed into a mecca of outdoor activities.
